I Finally Ate!!!
Yes yes, I broke my diet in a spectacular way tonight at my favourite restaurant in Toronto, BUCA. Just when I think it cannot get any better, they outdo themselves again. Even the Chef, Rob came out and introduced himself. I was accompanied by my good friend Paul, owner of Lola’s a.k.a my personal event space.

Here I look miserable because I had sworn off drinking but yet as soon as I sat down, the server brought me a complimentary glass of Champagne! WHAT GIVES?

We did have desert and it was so good that we forgot to take a picture. To make it up to you, I took a picture of this gorgeous girl! Marni shoes, Hugo Boss jacket and Nicole Miller dress. She was really sweet too, stunning and sweet!
Todays Agenda
Well, since I caved in and had that muffin yesterday… I am pretty much going to be paying for it till dinner time AT BUCA RESTAURANT!!!
The funny thing is that I did not even enjoy the muffin. I have not consumed any processed sugar for a week and all that sucrose gave me a headache! Luckily, I could only finish half of it.
Wassa Coulibaly
Introducing, WASSA! I think she is from Cameroon. Regardless, she is the most amazing African dancer I ever saw.
I watched the show the first time I went to Vegas and I was hooked. The second time I went to Vegas I somehow made friends and hang out with all the performers from Cirque Du Soleil and remained good friends with one of them… who I must feature!!! Anyway, all the costuming for Zumanity is by Thierry Mugler.
And if you don’t believe me, enjoy the video below.
Maria Shriver. First Lady, California.
Maria Shriver, my hair idol. Voluminous, bouncy and shimmery… the perfect blowout. HOT!
Irving Penn.
Below are my favourite images from the iconic American portrait and fashion photographer, Irving Penn.
CORRECTION: A reader with attention to detail just informed me that the first image of the model Dovima with the elephants is by Richard Avedon and NOT Irving Penn.
Thanks!
Greatest News Of The Day!
CELINE DION is going back to Las Vegas Next Year!!!!!
After all… she is last decades top selling artist, just saying.
My Day Off? NOT!
Today is my day off, the first one I have had from the blog in a long time. I am usually working 5 minutes after I wake up and 5 minutes before I fall asleep. Well, I guess I am still working so its not really like I am off.

I ran into these kids from a performing arts school next to home. I have a bad habit of making performers prove themselves.
It was either this picture or the one of the one drunk guy fist fighting with the road raged driver.
The diet is still going fabulously well but I don’t think I will make it past tonight without a chocolate fudge muffin. I know my capabilities.
All that glitters
Still going through the French Vogue. My latest obsession, jewelery by Lydia Courteille. Click here for more hotness.
I like her because she is obviously a fearless non conformist.
Today’s Agenda.
My mother called at 7am and woke me up. I have learned to brace myself for the worst news when she calls so early but she was just saying hello. Regardless, now that I am up, I have already had 5 strawberries, unsalted cashews and a banana. Sitting in the office (bed) with no material.
I am having dinner at Buca (my new favourite restaurant) so I have to count and burn calories till then and also figure out what I will be wearing.
New developements: Dinner was cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow. This throws my whole eating schedule off!
Where have I been?
I have either been living under a rock or perhaps they need to fire the Marketing and PR team working on promoting the movie Desert Flower; an adaptation from the book of the same name. I only just found out about it from French Vogue!

The movie is based on the real life story of Somali model, UN goodwill ambassador and victim of female genital mutilation Waris Dirie pictured above.
Below is the trailer for the movie, Desert Flower.
I want to go watch it ASAP!!! It looks campy but yet moving…and stars a supermodel!!!
