Naomi And The Blood Diamond
The saga continues, when does our goddess ever have a moment to breath?
Prosecutors at The International Criminal Court at The HAGUE are trying to subpoena Naomi Campbell to testify that Charles Taylor (ex President of Liberia) gave her a Diamond/ blood diamond.
- For starters, a diamond is a diamond whatever name you want to call it. I bet if it was Oil, there would be no bloody name calling and the U.S.A and Britain would be trying to align themselves with Liberia. Look at the Gulf Oil spill, who is getting tried in court for destroying our planet, where are the criminal charges for that?
- Secondly, it was a rough diamond and we know that those are usually not pretty and a headach to get cut and polished… Naomi does not have time to hassle with stones but on second thoughts, she could probably throw a rock at you ( KIDDING!!!)
- Thirdly, we love Naomi Campbell and there is no such thing as bad publicity UNLESS!!!!!

There Is A God
I just received a phone call and this is how the conversation went, ” Hello Biko? How would you like to join me and sit at our table at The PRIDE GALA!”
For those of you that don't have tickets yet: The Cost begins at $350/ ticket up to $10'000/ table with various options in between... guess which table I am in!!!
It is a wonderful event thrown by the community to honor visionaries and trailblazers. An elaborate glamorous affair with dinner and performances. OK, enough of that.
I just did the unthinkable, I had no time to take my Giambattista Valli gown to the dry-cleaners for it to be ready for tomorrow sooo, I HAND WASHED IT!!!! Like the last time I hand washed anything was over 15yrs ago in Africa when my mother forced me to so as, to set me on a path of independence, hated it! If I did not just ruin a $6000 gown, I will be calling her tomorrow to thank her for the life lessons.

Naomi Campbells Hair.
This is my favourite Naomi hair, extreemley long like Repunzel and no bangs/fringe
She has been wearing her hair with bangs a lot these days but I still prefere her in the Pocahontas/ Repunzel classic Naomi.
NOW, with that said, a friend of mine sent me a SHOCKING link today of our goddess which shows that she too has challenges growing her hair as a black woman.
Seriously you guys, people of African descent are genetically engineered through evolution to thrive in tropical climates near to or at the equator. This also includes our hair which seems to take a beating in cold climates.
We shall blame Naomi’s hair growth ( yes, we are calling it hair growth) on the fact that she has been living in frigid Russia!
I am soon too visit a hairdresser through a friends recomendation so as to be set on the path to healthy hair growth.

Pride Kick- Off
Last night was so fun! Went to The Spoke Club to kick-off Pride week. FUN!
I wore this vintage dress from the 50's by Saks 5th Avenue. I guess at one point they were known for designing dresses under their own label. It was so well tailored but I still had to alter it and make it shorter and tighter.
My date was my buddy John- AGAIN! He is seriously the best escort 2nd to my special friend.

G8 Party
I found myself at the most amazing party today. Some of the people in attendance had just came from meetings with President Obama. I am talking premiers and ministers in attendance. The only people I was allowed to take photos of were the help and the caterers, everyone else was off limits.
