Lady Gaga; Born This Way Video
I am slowly starting to enjoy her.
Born This Way was written by Lady Gaga and the video was directed by Nick Knight with Vincent Herbert being the executive producer. Laurie Anne Gibson choreographed the dance moves.
I really liked the poetry and narration in the beginning plus the imagery was so fluid and clever.
Has John Galliano Been Fired From Christian Dior?

Following various complaints by people who claim that the designer (who has been the Creative Director at Christian Dior since 1997) hurled recist and anti semitic remarks at them; John Galliano has been suspended pending an investigation.
More on the story here.
And now… the video.
2011 Oscar’s Red Carpet.
I only watched 4 nominated movies this year, Black Swan, The Social Network, The King’s Speech and Biutiful and I enjoyed all very much.
When it comes to the Academy Awards, red carpet fashion seems to factor in as much as winning an Oscar!

Hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco support my motto that; everyone is a winner as long as you feel good and have fun doing it.
Below are my favourite looks from this years red carpet at the 2011 Oscar’s.

Mark Rufallo was accompanied by his wife Sunrise Coigney who, was wearing a very desirable dress. I WANT!

Jennifer Hudson in Versace. I really liked this dress... something about the top part was a little off.

Say what you may but something about how Jennifer Lawrence pulled this Calvin Klein ensemble really resonated with me.

Hilary Swank was ravishing in this feathered Gucci Premier gown. NICE! I wonder how long it took to sew the feathers onto the dress.

Oh come on, there has to be a best dressed! For me, the honor goes to Cate Blanchett in Givenchy haute couture. Perfection in every way you look at it.
Last Night
It was my dear friend John’s birthday and we went to this place called Parts & Labour on Queen st West in Toronto.

The venue was actually cool with all types of people from hipsters to trend setters. Plus my cute friends above!

Got Milk?
I just needed an excuse to post that picture, I don’t know who the model or photographer is but I thought it was very creative.
So I have been hibernating for about a month now focusing on this temple I call my body. Not starving myself just eating right. I was just saying to someone the other day that “my body is a machine and food is my fuel… premium baby!”
I have a fun filled evening today which involves co-hosting a birthday party and then painting the town red. I have this dress that is not forgiving at all which I dare to wear. I should wait another week for when my body is ready for such an undertaking but I have no patience. I will reveal THE BODY a week early. Plus, the Academy Awards are on Sunday so you must come back and check out all the fashion!!!

Movie Fatigue
This month, I have basically had my own little film festival and I am worn out! Below are the movies I watched in my apartment:
Of Mice and Men, Dr. Zhivago, Gigi, All About Eve, Kramer vs Kramer, Network (with Faye Dunaway), Wuthering Heights, Ninotchka, Wizard Of Oz, and Coney Island.
I also went to the movies last week to watch Biutiful, starring Javier Bardem. The movie basically chronicles the lives of a few characters as they try to curve out a life in the hustle and bustle of the underbelly of Madrid, or was it Barcelona? One of those cities. I enjoyed the film which was long and SAD. The acting, superb!
Below is the trailer.
Thank you for visiting my blog today and do return!
