Toronto Fashion Incubator Gala

May 4, 2012 1:04 am

Last night I attended the Toronto Fashion Incubator gala, they were celebrating their 25th year. A festive event which was held at the Royal Ontario Museum. I was very lucky to score an invite! :-)

Everyone was dressed up to the nines.

I LOVED what I was wearing and you can't tell me any different. You just can't go wrong in Valentino.

Jennifer Ferreira in her own design and a cute little Chanel clutch.

Some pieces showcased by different designers contributing to the event.

My favorite girl at the party, good times.

Golnaz Ashtiani (love the name) on the right and her guest both wearing designs by Ashtiani.

Tanisha Butt in her own design from her label Likkle n Cute

Mr. and Mrs Cunningham looking cute!

I loved this entire 1950's getup, the best thing about it was that she did her own hair! Very cute.

African girl sighting! Fierceness all the way from Egypt in Hermes, Christian Louboutins and Louis Vuitton. I will let you in on a little secret, I LOVE stylish pregnant women.

I watched a clever video online today and I found it to be ironic and funny. It was done by a charity organization known as Mama Hope.

Highly Endangered: The Maasai is a viral campaign that seeks to advocate awareness about the effects of environmental degradation on the Maasai culture through the mediums of fashion, photography, & design.

Massive @ The AGO 2012

Apr 20, 2012 1:05 am

Last night I attended the annual Massive party at the Art Gallery Of Ontario (AGO). It was my third time to attend as I have blogged about it before here and here. This event keeps getting more boring every year it seems.

This was what I wore and the dress was a HIT! Everybody seemed to have seen it somewhere before. I think this is the worst picture I have ever taken.

My favorite girl at the party

Jennifer Ferreira in Lanvin

Amanda Lew Kee in Prada and Jay Strut in Givenchy shirt.

Fascinating in fascinators

Sneaky pics

Looking fierce in a Halston dress

Hottest girl at the party

African girl sighting!!! From Eritrea.

Adorable couple

Ainsley Kerr looking stunning in a Landstrom gown.

... and in Africa, I have the worst ass.

POGO Gala 2012

Apr 15, 2012 3:39 am

Last night was quite the festive event as I attended the annual POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario) Gala 2012. With live auctions, silent auctions, dinner and dance, high society comes together fabulously to raise money to benefit children with cancer. The Best Dressed gala of the season for sure, an opinion shared by the National Post.

Check out the festivities below.

I wore a black velvet Bill Blass gown with sheer bodice and sleeves, white mink and bejeweled clutch. I MUST repeat this.

Suzanne Rogers looking every bit like a Grecian goddess in Marchesa. I really liked this.

Another Marchesa dress and probably my favorite. Very dramatic in a good way.

Rebecca Levy in Lucian Matis with Regan McGee, always so cute.

Jenna Bitove in Alexander McQueen dress and clutch which she paired with really hot Gucci heels. Everyone wants my wardrobe but I secretly want hers.

My date and I matching in black velvet. My hair was down to my waist and not good for dancing.

Yana Perlmuter looking like a bond girl meets Miss Universe.

Vanessa Yakubson in Nina Ricci

Deena Pantalone Reale holding center court and flanked by two festive attendees on each side.

A lady wearing a dress from BCBG which I wouldn't mind having.

Classic

Dressy casual

Stylish

African girl sighting! Pretty girl from Guinea Bissau.

I liked the details of this dress, subtle with a touch of drama.

This couple was very adorable.

POGO Gala 2012

Apr 12, 2012 1:21 pm

I just got my tickets to The POGO gala party!!!

I already have a date, now the only problem is finding something to wear. I actually already have an outfit planned that’s on LAY AWAY (I know) with only 1 more payment left! If I get it and have the alterations done on time, then you can rest assured I will be looking hot this weekend.

POGO Gala 2012

Apr 4, 2012 11:13 am

POGO stands for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. They work to ensure that children with cancer across the province of Ontario receive the best possible care. How do they do this? By throwing one of the most glamorous events in Toronto, The POGO gala, which has raised over $3 million in 10 years to help children with cancer.

This was the article I did last year, which was the first time I attended the POGO gala. I had quite the time of my life among all the glamorous attendees. It was there that I met the remarkable artist Fareen Butt who I have blogged about. I cant believe its been a year already!

This was what I wore to The POGO Gala last year- Marchesa! I am yet to decide on an outfit for this year.

The POGO Gala consists of two portions, a fancy feast elegant dinner and, a festive after party. It is therefore no surprise that the POGO Gala was named “Gala Of The Year” and “Best Dressed” by the National Post.

Prom At The ROM 2012

Apr 1, 2012 2:58 am

This is the 3rd year in a row for me to attend this festive event at The Royal Ontario Museum. Prom at The ROM is probably my favorite party in Toronto. I remember how fun it was to attend my very first time in 2010 and post pictures when they had a Film Noir theme. Then last year I turned it out in one of my favorite dresses for their Into The Wild theme.

This years theme was Circus! It was the most attended of all time and everyone really stepped up their fashion game. Many people were dressed as clowns and ring masters. Good good times.

This is what I wore, a last minute repeat offender not really matching the theme of the night. I was feeling really hot though and everyone stepped on my dress, a custom made creation designed for me by Alicia Schlaepfer.

Bruno Duarte of Fresh Floral Creations Gallery and a leggy blond wearing a dress I need to borrow!

Regan McGee and Rebecca Levy in Lucian Matis

Pretty girl in pretty dress by Lucian Matis

Rebecca leung in Lucian Matis.

Sekou Sheriff is always representing Africa well, one of Toronto's most stylish gentlemen.

A birds nest hat

They had circus acrobats!

More circus performers

More hats

A complete kitchen right in the middle of the party

Beutiful Eritrean woman

My date and I matching and color coordinated in blue

Drama!

I really liked the color on this Emanuel Ungaro dress, the girl also had a stunning necklace... holding my business card. Product placement!!!

Daniel Cutts and Remi Awoniyi of Spa In.

More gorgeous girls

You cannot go wrong with such a classic long tail coat complete with bow tie and top hat. My favorite dressed man of the evening.

Rebecca Levy was hands down my favorite dressed person in her beautiful Lucian Matis dress and matching orange snakeskin Gucci heels. Lucian Matis was definitely the most worn designer of the evening loaning out his dresses to the society girls. I have to point out that Rebecca's owns her (custom fitted by the designer) dress. Great investment for sure!

Sadly, since I was wearing silk gloves, I could not take notes on my iPhone and document most peoples names or what they were wearing.
